Ridiculously Amazing.

Those would be the only two words I could use to describe Greek Impact this month!

I know I say it alllllll the time, but God is doing something amazing in our midst.

These college students are SO READY to hear about Christ and surrender to HIM!

We had 3 married couples sit on a panel and answer questions that the students texted in about relationships.

It was crazzzzzy to see all the questions the students had and how they wanted to find Biblical answers for their questions.

We started out with…

• How did y’all meet?
• When did Christ become Lord of your life?
• How did you know they were “the One”?

Then we moved to the students’ text questions…

• What advice do you have for a girl who’s in a relationship where the guy is not the spiritual leader?
• Why can’t the girl be the spiritual leader? Is she not smart enough?
• The Bible says you shouldn’t live together before you’re married…why?
• How far is too far physically in a relationship?
• The movies portray sex outside of marriage as exciting and within marriage as boring. Is that true? How about after 24 years?
• What do you do when you get in a fight, but don’t want to yell at each other?
• What does the Bible say about divorce?
• Do any of you have messed up family of origins and how does that effect your marriage?

It was awesome to hear these godly couples speak boldly for Christ as they answered the questions. They did SUCH a great job pointing students to Scripture as the most helpful resource and the final authority.

There was such a great turnout for the meeting. People were jammed packed into the largest sorority house on campus, plus sitting in the floor, plus spilling out into both hallways. Again, there were tons of guys that came!

Since then, Joel, myself and our student leaders have had TONS of conversations about relationships and the Gospel. (This panel started quite a buzz in Greek Village). I met with a ton of sorority girls today and had incredible conversations with them. Joel hasn’t stopped working for days, following up on guys who are interested in knowing more about Christ.

He woke up this morning to this Facebook message:

“Joel it was good talking to you today at the gym… I talked to brittany tonight and she kind of helped me realize that I need to get a bible that helps me realize exactly what is being said… I felt like before I would read what was said, but wouldn’t really truly understand the message that was being portrayed… If you knew of anything that could possibly help me out I would really appreciate it and I would definitely would like to go to lunch some time so we could really talk… I have a few questions that I could really use some advice about… Whenever you would like to just let me know… In case you didn’t get it from the sheet of paper my number is xxx xxx xxxx… Hopefully I’ll talk to you soon”

God is doing something so amazing in our midst!
