A Quick Update
Jimmy-Thank you so much for all those who have been praying for our campus and for Jimmy Eichorn. The only updates we know is that he is still in a coma but when someone he knows talks to him, his brain activity does spike. They are keeping a lot of the details pretty hush-hush. But we are still praying!
Joel-Please be in prayer for Joel as he is up to his ears in Miami details for planning our 60-student Spring Break trip! It’s a little crazy around the Hurdle house at the moment…we leave Friday!! Joel’s leading several frat studies and a senior study. He has also been seeing a number of guys trust Christ (stories to come in our February newsletter!) and so he is working hard to establish these guys in their faith. Please pray for these guys and for Joel.
Kitty-I have been struggling to trust the Lord for all the things going on in our lives. Please pray that I would rest in the sovereign goodness of God! My junior girls are a joy to my heart as they are growing and leading girls in Bible studies. They have seen a lot of lives being changed through their ministries. Our Greek women leaders are a huge concern on my heart as 3-4 of them are falling into the temptations of the world. I have had countless of confrontational conversations so far this semester and have yet to see heart change. Please pray that God’s loving kindness will bring them to repentance. For the ones who are persevering it’s exciting to see God grow their passion for Himself! It’s amazing to see them minister to girls like Brittney who became a Christian in January. I met with her for follow-up on Friday and she said to me, “Have you ever read Romans? Did you know that when we don’t know what to pray for that the Holy Spirit intercedes for us? That is unbelievable! That’s just amazing.” Comments like that sure do keep you going :)
Did I mention that it’s snowing outside right now?!?! In Columbia!!! Which reminds me that I need to post about the 5th Snowiest Day in Columbia’s history!! More to come!
