The Hurdle Household Hospital.
Joel was a wonderful patient today. It was pitiful seeing him on oxygen, hooked up to all those IVs and monitors. But as you can see, he fought off that anesthesia and even though his nurse Betsy swore he was too “green-looking” to sit up and get dressed, he rose to the challenge.
HE was telling ME directions on the way home…so I knew he was recovering fine.
He downed Mrs. Murphy’s famous chicken & wild rice soup, took some serious pain meds and snuggled down into LaLa Land. I haven’t heard anything other than snores since. It’s so nice to have a reason to stick around home this weekend. I am just praying for a speedy recovery for the use of Joel’s hand. The doctor said it’s going to be an arduous 8-weeks of occupational therapy.
*UPDATE: Tonight he’s in a lot of pain, keep the prayers coming.*
