This is a long overdue post of our fun visit to my grandmother’s house in Rockford, IL.
We took one day, hopped on the train and went into the city!
We had fun w/ my Mom and Sass!
First stop: Sear’s Tower–now named the “Willis Tower” but will always be known to us as the Sear’s Tower!!
It was the craziest feeling to look down THHHAATT many stories! Talk about butterflies!
Next stop…the bean! It was such a beautiful optical illusion.
Kemble and Momma went to see the Art Museum (who knew it’s half-price at 4:00!!) and we strolled over to Buckingham Fountain.
On our way there we randomly ran into a girl that had been involved in our Crusade ministry at Winthrop University! She was there in Chicago on Summer Project! It was so sweet to see how God is using students around the globe!
Deep Dish Pizza from Gino’s!! Thanks to Amy and Kyles recommendation we left Chicago with our bellies full of yummy Chicago-style pizza. We hopped on the train and headed back to enjoy the rest of our time together as a family. What a blessing to have this time! Makes me a little homesick to revisit these happy memories. Can’t wait to head home in a little over a week! In Huntington? Want to hang? xoxo
