God is on the Move!

(Photos to come!)

Not only did the Lord just pack out the Williams’ Brice Auditorium for our final CRUsade meeting tonight, but we also ran out of chairs at Greek Impact last night!

God is on the move drawing many students to Himself.

Last night, Jimmy (featured in this month’s prayer letter) shared his testimony and many students took an interest in Christ based on his story of redemption.

Today, I sat in the Horseshoe with several girls for discipleship. My last appointment was with a girl whom a handful of the Greek girls I disciple have prayed for now for 3 years. She sat with me today and shared how God has completely unveiled her eyes to see that though her family is of a completely different religious heritage, that she see’s Christ as the only way! She has already read (and just texted me saying she is re-reading) the book of John, 1 John, she’s started “The Purpose-Driven Life” and 2 other Christian books :) I was speechless as I saw this girl having been transformed right in front of my very eyes.

(A funny side-note was that she thanked me for “p****** her off” by telling her she was “going to hell” if she didn’t have a relationship with God. Which I laughed about and asked her if I actually was that blunt…she laughed and said that she had decided never to meet with me again, but that combined with the love and investment of her friends, God used whatever we all had said to show her her need for Him.)*I promise I have tact!*

In total, our ministry graduated a little more than 45 seniors who will now enter their workplaces holding forth the life-changing message of Christ. For that I am grateful and because of that I stand amazed. Praise the One who paid my debt and raised this life up from the grave!

Reaching the World for Christ

Our prayer is that we will reach the world for Christ…one college student at a time.

Praise God, we are seeing this prayer and dream become a reality every day we go to campus. We have had countless students be dramatically changed by the Gospel. Here is a peek at a recent changed life:

On Easter Sunday, I checked my cell phone after church and saw a text message from a “202” number. The text message said, “Hey Kitty, I’d love to meet sometime this week. God is doing something in my heart and I want to get my life right with God.”

I was obviously thrilled and immediately texted back and set up a time to meet. The one thing I failed to do was ask her WHO she was…I knew I was SUPPOSED to know who she was because she texted me…but I just couldn’t place a “202” number. Joel laughed at me and said only I would get myself in a funny little situation like that?!

I didn’t care I was just excited to meet “202” whomever that precious thing would be!!

A day later a very sweet Kappa Delta girl wrote on my Facebook wall that she was excited to see me soon. I quickly realized “AHA! That’s ‘202’!” What was so crazy about this was that she was the VERY FIRST sorority girl that I had ever met at Carolina. I remembered that when we met, her heart was not yet tender toward the Lord and she was content “doing her own thing”. I would see her on campus from time to time and we would always exchange “hello’s”. It seemed like this appointment three years later would be quite different!

We met at Starbucks on campus and immediately she shared with me all the wild and amazing things God was doing in her life. It was OBVIOUS that God was pursuing her and she was responding! The most amazing thing she said to me was, “I know that if I were to die tomorrow I would go to hell for all the sin in my life. I really need forgiveness and cleansing.” She then launched into her plan to start going to religious services and performing the duties required of her.

We dove right into Ephesians 2 and discussed the missing link between a holy God and very unholy people… Christ’s atoning sacrifice!

Then we looked at Hebrews and talked about Christ being our great high priest. For the first time, she saw Him as the perfect Savior. THE ONE who is able to take away the sins of the world!

After a great conversation and coming to a point of decision, we headed over to pick out a Bible for her. It was such a joy to be able to give the words of life to this wonderful new sister in Christ.

Since then, she has shared her new faith in Christ with her mom, dad and sister! Please pray protection and growth for this sweet new believer! I’m planning on meeting with her again this week!
